Terms of Service
Version 1.2 — Last updated 2 September 2025.
1. Scope
These Terms apply to all Tameless Hosting services, including game server hosting, add-ons and support (“Services”). By creating an account, ordering, or using the Services you agree to these Terms.
2. Accounts & Eligibility
- You must be at least 18, or have express permission from a parent/guardian who is the contracting party.
- You are responsible for the security of your account, panel credentials and any API keys. Notify us immediately of suspected compromise.
3. Orders, Term & Auto-Renewal
- Services are billed in advance (monthly unless otherwise specified) and auto-renew until cancelled.
- You authorise us to take payment for each renewal period using your saved payment method.
- We may refuse or cancel orders for fraud, abuse, or non-payment.
4. Fees, Currencies, Taxes & Invoices
- Pricing & currency: Prices may be shown in multiple currencies (e.g., GBP, EUR, USD). The billing currency and final amount payable are shown at checkout.
- Processor & FX: Payments are processed by PayPal. If you pay in a currency different from your funding source, PayPal or your bank may apply exchange rates and fees.
- Taxes: Any applicable indirect taxes (e.g., VAT) are calculated and collected automatically by PayPal based on your location and the nature of the Services. Tax amounts are displayed at checkout.
- Late or failed payments may result in suspension/termination and data deletion after the retention period (see section 11).
- Invoices/receipts are available in your billing area or via email.
5. Cooling-Off & Immediate Supply of Digital Services
Under UK consumer law you normally have a 14-day right to cancel distance contracts. Hosting is a digital service that can begin immediately. By placing an order you:
- request immediate performance of the Services; and
- acknowledge you will lose the statutory 14-day right to cancel once provisioning begins.
This does not affect our voluntary 7-Day Refund window (see section 10).
6. Acceptable Use
You must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) below. We may suspend or terminate for AUP breaches.
7. Service Provision & Changes
- We may perform maintenance, apply updates, migrate workloads or change hardware/locations to maintain quality. We’ll aim to provide reasonable notice of disruptive maintenance.
- Features labelled “beta”, “preview” or similar are provided “as is”.
8. Uptime Target & Credits
See SLA below for uptime targets and service credits for measured downtime within our control.
9. Customer Data
- You retain ownership of your content. You grant us a limited licence to host, copy and transmit your data solely to provide the Services.
- Backups: We take routine snapshots (see features), but no backup is guaranteed. You are responsible for maintaining your own copies of critical data.
10. Refunds
Our voluntary 7-Day Refund applies to first-time purchases of a new service and excludes add-ons or third-party licences. Abuse, AUP breaches, or excessive resource use voids eligibility. See the Refund Policy section for full rules and how to claim.
11. Suspension, Termination & Data Retention
- We may suspend for non-payment, AUP breaches, security issues, or legal requests. We may terminate for persistent issues or serious breaches.
- Upon termination, data may be deleted after 7 days unless required by law or agreed otherwise.
12. Liability
- Non-excludable liabilities: We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
- Consumers: Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights (including our duty to perform with reasonable care and skill).
- Cap: Subject to the above, our aggregate liability for all claims in a subscription term is limited to the lesser of (a) 100% of fees paid for the affected Service in the 3 months before the event, or (b) £500 (total cap across all claims in that period).
- Exclusions: We are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, data, or indirect/consequential loss; issues caused by your mods, plugins, configuration; third-party providers; DDoS beyond our mitigation capacity; or force majeure.
13. Intellectual Property
All site, panel, and platform IP remains Tameless Hosting’s or its licensors’. You must only upload content you have rights to. We respond to copyright notices and may suspend infringing content.
14. Law & Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. The courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update Terms for legal, security, or operational reasons. We’ll post the new version here with the “Last updated” date and, where material, provide reasonable notice.
Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
Binding policy for all Services.
Prohibited uses
- Illegal activity; infringement of IP rights; evading law-enforcement.
- Malware, botnets, DDoS (inbound or outbound), port scanning, open proxies, stressers/booters.
- Sending spam or unsolicited messages; hosting spam tools/lists.
- Harassment, threats, doxxing, hate speech, exploitation of minors or any unlawful content.
- Cryptomining or GPU/CPU coin mining on any plan.
- Activities that disrupt other customers or our network/platform.
- Resource abuse (e.g., circumventing limits, running non-game workloads without consent).
Enforcement
We may rate-limit, suspend or terminate with or without notice depending on severity. We’ll aim to notify you and work to remediate where practical.
Security
You must keep software, mods and plugins up-to-date and use strong credentials. Report vulnerabilities to us promptly via Support.
Refund & Cancellation Policy
7-Day Refund (voluntary guarantee)
- Eligibility: first order of a new service within 7 calendar days of provisioning.
- Exclusions: add-ons, third-party licences, domain names, deliberate abuse, AUP breaches, or accounts previously refunded for similar reasons.
- Process: open a ticket at Support with your order number. Refunds go to the original payment method.
Statutory rights
Per section 5 of the TOS, you request immediate supply of digital services and acknowledge loss of the 14-day cancellation right once provisioning begins. This does not limit any non-excludable rights.
Cancellation
Cancel any time via the panel/billing area to stop next renewal. You remain responsible for fees already incurred for the current billing period.
Bereavement
If a customer dies, an executor/administrator (or next of kin acting reasonably) may notify us at support@tameless.co.uk with the deceased’s name, server ID and proof of death. We will cancel the subscription, refund pro-rata from the date of death, waive early termination fees, and, on request, provide a feasible data export before secure deletion.
Privacy Policy

What we collect
- Account data: name/username, email, country/region, billing info (handled by our payment processors), support tickets.
- Service data: server names, configs, IPs, logs (performance, uptime, security), crash reports.
- Device/usage: IP address, browser/device info, panel actions (for security/audit), cookie preferences.
Why we use your data (lawful bases)
- Contract: create/manage your account, provision and support Services.
- Legitimate interests: prevent abuse/fraud, improve stability & features, measure performance.
- Legal obligation: tax records, regulatory requests.
- Consent: non-essential cookies/analytics (where used) and marketing (if you opt-in).
Sharing
We use vetted processors to run our platform (e.g., hosting providers, DDoS protection, PayPal for payments, email/ticketing). We require appropriate data protection terms. We do not sell personal data.
International transfers
Where data moves outside the UK, we rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses (SCCs) with supplementary measures as needed.
Retention
- Account records: while active + up to 6 years (tax/audit).
- Logs/metrics: typically 30–180 days unless longer for security investigations.
- Backups/snapshots: rolling windows; older copies are overwritten.
Your rights
You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and objection to certain processing. You can withdraw consent for cookies/marketing at any time. To exercise rights, contact support@tameless.co.uk or Support. You can complain to the ICO: ico.org.uk.
Security
We use access controls, TLS in transit, network segmentation and least-privilege principles. No system is 100% secure; you must keep your credentials safe.

Uptime target: 99.9% monthly per node/region (excludes scheduled maintenance, force majeure, upstream carrier issues and events outside our reasonable control).

Credits are not refunds, have no cash value, and cap at the monthly fee of the affected service. Request within 7 days of month-end via Support with timestamps/impact.
